What a Woman

Perspective

I was seven years old when my mom took me to see this new "Colored" film...It seems like only yesterday. I was mesmarized by the vision of Dorothy Dandridge in "Carmen Jones."

I will never forget the scene when Belafonte ends her life and she dies with her eyes open. For the longest time, I thought when people died, it was with their eyes open.

She was and is my favorite movie Star. I really relate to her as a person, and hate the way she was mistreated by the evil people that she attracted. I wish I could have been there for her

Thank you for memoralizing her for all the world to see. She will live forever in the hearts of her many fans. You have done a great job....Dorothy is smiling!!!
