Mr. Poitier, You most probably won't read the present, but since more than 32 years ago I have again watched "to Sir With Love". And again I have cried. So I had to express my feelings no matter what. You may be an actor but I do not believe That such amount of love can just be simply acted.

To make it short, I used to be A flight instructor and some of my students did something similar as what happened at the end of "to Sir With Love". To act it and to live it must be two different things but may I say that your character when I was only 17 really impressed me a great deal and later made a difference in helping other people getting their "wings", That is their pilot's licence.

so for your involontary role in all of this I want to Thank You. You can be an actor, but to a certain point and as "to Sir With Love Ii" confirms it you are a giver. God Bless You
