Summertime is my all time favorite song by Mahalia Jackson. I love the strength that resonates in her voice. She has a powerful voice that doesn't carefully commands and divinely demands your attention. Because of her tone, it is like you float on every word that comes out of her mouth and somehow you understand it, you feel it, you are it!!

When I listen to her, it's like she draws my soul out of my body and where ever I am at, she and my soul dance together to the glory of God.
