Colored Reflections is a "collective history" site covering the quest for civil rights and equality over the last fifty years. The concept behind the site is that we are all "of a color," and that the real stories are not those of history books, but are those of the people who experienced them. The site covers not only the African American experience, but that of Hispanic, Native American, Asian, and other members of our American society.
Our intent is to be inclusive, and we invite readers to contribute their stories. Dozens have added to this ever-growing site. We also work with school classes who use the site for their own projects, asking grandparents, parents and family friends to share their stories.
