Fidel Castro has supported my people during a time when the country that they lived in didn't. We as African Americans know how an oppressive government can misrepresent truth. The evidence is in the American history books. We know the truth, and the truth will set us free.

I only wish that we had a man with the heart of a lion and the wisdom of the serpent to lead African Americans to true equality in the year 2000. If you think that we have reached equality count 41 times we received the statemen t"You have a right to remain silent" and the 19 times that it hit home...We need a Fidel in our search for equality in this country.
