I am a first generation Cuban american, My father always joked that he left cuba in 1949 B.C. ( Before Castro) He told me horrific stories about Bautista. He often told me that compared to Bautista, Hitler was a saint. Because if you were German you did not have to fear Hitler. Bautista abused his own people.

One story concerned a young girl coming of age about 14 maybe 15 or 16 years old . The police officer of the town came knocking at the door. The sargeant of the police had come to notice this young lady. And decided he wanted her, for the night. The family surrendered the daughter, the family of course had no choice. The sargeant did what he wanted and the next morning returned the girl to her Family.
