Rosa was a quiet, brave woman. She fought for Civil Rights. She was on a bus one cold night. The bus driver told her to get up but she wouldn't give up her seat to a white person 1 more time. It was a cold day and she was tired.

The other 2 people got up. But Rosa didn't. She was arrested for breaking the law. When she was in jail she was treated unfair. When she was bailed out her and other Black people protested. They won and other unfair laws were too. Rosa Parks is 81 right now and lives in Chicago.
