Her beauty was surpassed only by the beauty of her heart. After reading the exceptional biography of her life written by Donald Bogle, I gained a new insight into one of my favorite classic stars. I laughed, cried, and became angry.
She loved so much, gave so much of herself, but with the exception of a few, the people in her life manipulated and abused that giving nature, and it took its' toll. Dorothy Dandridge died 5 years before my birth, and I regret I never had the pleasure of meeting her or seeing her in a live performance. Dottie, you should still be with us. A fan of yours, Greg.
