Teacher

Perspective

I will never forget the look on my sixth grade teacher's face upon realizing the Challenger exploded. My science teacher at the time, was the second runner up for the teacher in space mission. She would have been in space that day had the other teacher been unable to fufill her duty.

She was horrified along with the rest of our class. We were all brought into the school library to watch the lift off LIVE! The entire class was devastated, yet confused. We were all young children but we had an unspoken trust in the NASA program. What explanation could our teacher give to her class of baffled students? All she could do was CRY!
